Deleting it in the app

In the app, open Menu → Erase all data. That removes the members of the household, their targets and allergies, every meal plan, the shopping lists and the meal ratings. The app goes back to how it was the first time you opened it.

If your phones are paired with Teammates, erasing on the Captain’s phone also ends the pairing and deletes the mailbox on the server if the Captain is online at the time; the Teammates’ phones find out the next time they’re opened. On a Teammate’s phone, Erase all data deletes its copy and lets the Captain know it has left.

Deleting it by uninstalling

Uninstalling the app removes its data from the phone completely. On an iPhone, hold the icon and choose Delete App; on Android, hold the icon and choose Uninstall.

Mind your phone backups: if you have iCloud or Google Drive backup turned on, a copy of the app’s data may sit in it for a while longer. That is your phone’s backup, which I have no access to — it clears according to the backup settings on your phone.

What I have to delete

Only what you’ve sent me yourself — that is, email correspondence with support, if there was any. To have it deleted, write to cheflex@email.cz from the address you wrote from. I’ll deal with it within a month at the latest.

There is no other data

I hold no user database and no backup of your meal plan — what you enter in the app stays on your phone. If you switch on anonymous statistics, the app sends only a daily count of which of its parts get used — it carries nothing that could link it to you, so there is nothing to delete; one tap in the app switches it off. In the app from the store, the full-version purchase is also verified through RevenueCat; the purchase data is held there for as long as the app exists — otherwise the purchase couldn’t be restored. Encrypted bundles between phones paired with a Teammate are deleted by the server itself after 30 days at most, and an unused mailbox after 180 days. There’s more detail in the privacy policy.
